This breed is common.
Saberwolves. Some say there's little difference from the Sabertooth Cat, though they would never tell them that. Males sport 7" fangs whereas females only have 4". These canines are extremely proud and love to fight. One could call them the mercenary of the canine world. So proud are they that even when faced with twenty enemies, they will insist on facing the threat on their own. This is undoubtedly their weakness.
Similar to their feline counterparts, they can retract their claws. Due to some genetic mutation, some saberwolves can retract their sabers as well.
Their eyes come in varying shades of red. Pink has been known to happen, but due to the unattractive and unintimidating nature of the color, is uncommon. The pelt is very short and can come in any color. Sabers are rarely seen without some tattoo on their faces. It is this trademark that marks them for what they are, as well as Saber-for-hire. Years ago, they would dip their fangs in a dye-staining solution - a well-kept breed secret though some believe it's merely berry juice - and cut these marks onto others faces as a maturity ritual. This method scars. Since this practice extends far into their history, pups are starting to be born with them - although some will go through the scarring regardless as a point of pride.
Another large breed at 7'5 to the shoulder, weighing in around 300 pounds. They have the ability to reach 300 years, however due to their nature, most rarely reach half that. A Saberwolf matures at 10 years.
