There was a beast that moved silent through the land. On pads of black it crept forward, shoulders could be measured at six feet above the ground. It’s mass clocked at six hundred pounds, large and hulking as it passed through trees and such. Little stood in its way. The demon was all black with a blood red stripe running down its back from the top of its nose to the tip of its tail. The wet nose was a darker red. On both shoulder blades was a deep black X with grey bare skin, deep red coloring around the bare skin. The monster had once been called a winged hellhound, but that privilege was taken from it. But the most astonishing feature was the bright fluorescent blue eyes. And beside the large build the could give this creature away as a brute, if any could get close enough to the behemoth, who at first smelt like male, they could pick up the slightest trace of a feminine smell.
So the creature went on, large muscle bulging from the taught skin that tried to hold captive the power that squirmed beneath it. A low rumble came from it’s chest. The female’s eyes snapped back and forth, weary for an opposing force. For another canine to fight or talk with. She trusted few and loved even fewer. Her large jaws capable of crushing any, saliva dripped from her gaping aperture. She felt a clawing pain in her stomach and felt the need to shut it up. Her body was slow moving through the thickness. She crouched low at the scent of an animal and crept slowly forward to find a large musk deer, female alone. The wolf licked her lips lightly and went in closer for more of a look. She stayed down wind, her ears sliding into a low position on her head as she crept through the growth. Her breathing slowed as each muscle awaited the moment.
She came in close as she could. The scent of the deer entering her nose as she knew it was almost time. The little creature lifted it’s head and looked nervously around, not noticing the mass hiding in the undergrowth she began to eat again. The she-wolf struck. Each muscle working together, propelling the behemoth forward and straight at the creature, stunned it didn’t move. The hellhound’s large jaws snapped onto the deer’s neck as it flew through the air. The two creatures tumbled with a loud snap, the deer’s neck broke. The hellhound called it luck that she was able to catch her prey, but in offering to her god, and the god of this world she place her left forepaw on the deer’s shoulder and ripped it’s throat open before throwing her head back and howling loud and low, in a song of thanks and devotion to the Cuulu gods and goddesses as well as Fenrir. The old pack’s god.
She felt a pain where her heart should have been. Her old pack was no more. Rin was to be alpha, but that had not happened due to the deceiving Vinei winged hellhound male. She lowered her muzzle to the corpse her paw rested on and feeling nothing but contempt for the creature she tore into it, savoring the red juices the filled her mouth and ran down her throat. The creature was enough for her and with a low, rumbling warning growl to all near, she began to devour the creature mercilessly. By the time the beast had finish her kill, it was reduced to a pile of bones. The large creature stood once more to full height and gave a loud cry from deep within her body. The sound was one of agony as she remembered her old pack. She howled to Fenrir to protect their souls and protect hers if she still had one.
She walked on leaving the pile of bones as her muscular limbs moved to shoulder past trees. A deep growl warding off attacks from other creatures. Her mass that of sound muscular cords. Her sinews made to work perfectly. She was Queen in her own mind. Queen of Revenge on that damned Vinei winged hellhound male. Her blood boiled with anger at the thought of tearing into his tender flesh. The hound herself resembled more wolf if anything. Her body mimicked almost exactly a wolf’s, except the horrid scarring on both shoulders from where her precious wings were ripped. She felt nothing but contempt for all flying creatures. She knew that she would never feel the wind whistling through her fur again. Or feel the thrill of free falling through the air. This dark beast was a shell of her former self. Once so full of life and love, she turned into a beast wishing for only power and understanding for revenge against her enemies.
Her motive for living was to kill that deceiver that got her so long ago. She moved on her breathing erratic with the promises and thoughts she made for herself. She would make him suffer and then after that she would make all of the Vinei race pay for his crimes. But she decided only if they went against her. She didn’t care how petty she was with this revenge. All she cared was that she would get it. And get it she would, if it killed her.
