Fire:
Those who utilize this element often have hot tempers. Their general appearance comes in various shades of red, yellow, black, brown, gray, or blue. Any other color is considered odd and is frowned upon by other pyro users. The element itself is a spectacular combination of heat, smoke, and fire. They can also withstand varying degrees of heat based on their experience and energy. While red, orange and yellow are the most natural and common colors for fire, more experienced and adept fire elementals have been known to use blue, white and in rare cases even black fire.
Earth:
These elemental users are often devoted to the protection of their dearest Mother Nature. Anybody that abuses the local fauna in their presence will often get more than a heated scolding. These canines are in essence Mother Nature’s children. Not only are they in tune with nature, but also with the ground and rock. It is common for an earth elemental to be more in tune with one over the other. Some choose to be in tune with both but their powers are weaker than one who chose to specialize. The fur comes in shades of green, brown, pink, yellow, red, blue, and black. Occasionally one will have a crown of flowers or leaves, perhaps even a type of tree or rare flower growing from their fur. One of their abilities can heal any type of natural disaster. These canines may not only heal but can also cause destruction.
Water:
Those who wield this element are often soothing and relaxed creatures. Water elements have two different appearances, but fur tends to come in shades of white, green or blue. When swimming through any kind of liquid, users have the ability to change the back legs and tail into a fish/mermaid tail much like a hippocampus. Should the elemental lose their tail, they will also lose the end of their fish tail. Water elements cannot be without water for long, they need to be in water frequently. Rarely will a Water be found in a desert, due to the lack of water. Due to this, some have adapted fur which retains water for longer periods. Kept from water long enough and the elemental will start to die, even if they have water to drink. Canines may manipulate fresh or salt water. They can change it into a deadly weapon or a work of art. Some sinister ways of using water would be in creating a whirlpool while a benevolent being may create an oasis in a desert.
Air:
These users are good at hiding their feelings and knowledge in a treacherous manner. Very fiendish, their laughter and jokes are sometimes mean. These elemental users are the second of the four elemental users that may fly. Fur tends to be a lighter colors; the only dark shades seen are dark gray and black. Markings tend to be of an odd sort of wind or storm design. These canines manipulate air, clouds and storms. Some examples of their power include creating tornadoes; take oxygen from the air, etc. May fly with wings.
While air elementals can create storms, they have no control over lightning, snow or rain. They can create it within a storm but cannot direct its flow or control it in any way.
Light:
This elemental is kind and seeks to help most everyone around them. Their fur is normally a clear, bright color; happy colors, if you will. Contrary to popular belief, this user does not manipulate solar energy. Their paws merely exercise the essence of light and its rainbow of colors. These canines are usually the ones that cause a rainbow to appear in the sky. They mainly use light for healing, but occasionally Light is used for evil deeds. An example of using light for malicious reasons is to cause wounds or cause infections in a wound. Light elementals are one of the few whose appearance changes with use. Should they do works of good, their pelt color stays in bright shades whereas works of ill changes the color to a darker hue. May fly with wings.
Shadow:
Shadow elementals are mean and malicious canines. Unlike the other elements, Shadow users come in two colors and two colors only: black and gray, without any markings. Any other color is seen as an abomination to the element and will be killed on sight. Shadow detests all other elements, seeking to become superior above all. The user can control shadows. This may be used as a fear factor. Some say these magically created shadows can even cause destruction while still others claim they have lives of their own. They can make shadows in even the sunniest places. Shadow elementals can melt into the shadows themselves and never be seen. Shadow cannot control the darkness or night although they can cause a spot to seem so for a short time. May fly with wings.
Mind:
Mind elementals are often loyal though are not always truthful. Fur can come in any color but always has violet overtones. Mind can read thoughts at any time they wish, move things with their minds, control a canine for a short period of time, or speak telepathically. Sometimes they can even phase out of time and space.
Using Mind on another requires permission from them.
Invisibility:
Invisibility elementals tend to be quiet and keep to themselves. They come in any shade of pelt color. The user can go invisible whenever they wish. Only mind elementals can detect their presence, though they do not know exactly where; they only receive a relative location. This invisibility works at any time, whether dying or hurt.
Death:
The demeanor of this elemental varies from heartless to caring. Pelt colors only come in black. This element allows the user to bring people back from the dead or kill anyone with a flick of their tail. Also if the user chooses to, only by great skill of long practice, can the user sometimes wound their enemy greatly. To a point if not treated, the one whom the wound(s) are inflicted, could die within a matter of days. This element requires a great deal of experience, energy and practice. In their first thirty years of life, it is likely their element will not manifest except on lesser creatures.
Time:
Time elementals tend to be a little arrogant, but are quite aware of the good or ill their powers can have on the world. For this reason, they are perhaps the most cautious of all the elements. Time comes in any and all colors, usually more than a couple. The user can freeze time at any point, moving through it to a different place before resuming time as it was before. No one will notice any changes in the present when time has been frozen unless they have the element of mind. These users may also travel back through time if they wish, but they cannot change the past. There are many futures, so even though these users have the ability to go forward in time to the future, it does not mean it will alter it. In fact that future may not even be used. A very powerful time elemental could theoretically cast the whole world years into the future or into the past. Like Death, Time will likely not manifest for the first few decades of life. If gone untaught, what at first will be time skips will eventually become bigger time rifts until brought under control. Time can also see all the different paths of the world and other creatures in present time. Records claim them to be similar to bright paths all different and showing a different direction, in time the elemental can choose to shut this other view on and off.
