Who dares to become the hero who seeks the truth of these legends?
Legend has a Queen spider who rules over all other variations of spider. Supposedly she is protected by legions of tree dwellers and ground spiders whose sole purpose is to keep her safe. She lives deep in the forest, in a cavern that runs deep with the bones of her victims. Within this cavern is a maze of webs although once in deep enough, one can find the “home web”. Wrapped within these silky hazardous strands is an elemental stone artifact. Whoever has possession of this artifact can gain one elemental power or can further enhance their own power. However, should the user lose contact with this artifact, they also lose whatever power they have gained from it.
----------
Stories tell of a leech, some kind of being who steals life energy from corpses. Instead of allowing Atheron to absorb it to renew itself, it absorbs it for its own. This method ensures a spirit never rests. Without its life energy completing the cycle, the spirit is doomed to wander Atheron in despair. Sometimes Vivane will find these lost souls and put them at rest. Rumor has it that this leech can also steal from a living elemental if he opens himself up. At first the elemental will notice nothing, but when he tries to draw upon his power, he will end up hurting himself instead. From then on, he is doomed to live his life as Vinei.

An old tale tells of a Vinei fox who worships Dineaer. It is the trickster god who appears first, asking the fox for a favor. This favor is to plant false religious information in one pack concerning another. When the fox looks upon his patron, he agrees. The fox dutifully does as Dineaer has asked, but all too quickly the framed pack realizes they have been tricked. Fortunately, our fox was smart and after planting the information had slipped away. However, in their anger the framed pack sought the trail of the fox and refused to relinquish it. After three days of this, the fox was weary but did not lose faith in his patron. On the fourth day, when the fox was sure he would be compromised, the pack who had first heard of the information appeared to confront the other. During the resulting turmoil, the fox was able to once again slip away. After this, when it became obvious no one else dogged his trail, Dineaer gave the fox a gift to show just how pleased he was by his performance. The fox was now a Kitsune and the first to bear Dinear’s messages.

There is a very old territory known to the locals as Firedown. It is a desolate land, lying low in the land. It is near a lake so even in summer a fog will roll in for most of the day. In short, it’s a graveyard. Bones can even still be seen popping up from the ground. Something happened there, long ago before Atheron’s rebirth when the Cuulu were first given their gift. At this time packs were formed by element, fire packs, water packs, they did not intermingle except to fight. This is exactly what happened at Firedown. Two extremely aggressive packs joined in battle. Fire alphas Dancing Flames and Blazing Helix leading fire; shadow alphas Moonlit Haze and Shadowed Day leading shadow. The battle was long, bloody and ultimately futile. It is said that there were no survivors. The legend says that Death was not present to shepherd the souls to their final resting place. It is for this reason that Firedown is the same as it was before the Rebirth.
There are so many lost spirits, who know nothing except what they knew upon death. Only the very brave or very foolish set paw in here. The legend says the energy the Cuulu had didn’t sink into the earth when they died, as it does now. This power can be gained if you didn’t have any before by staying the night and opening oneself up to this power. However, doing this causes a great risk of possession and these spirits are not known for their benevolence. If one stays and has power, it may become apparent in the night. Some say Firedown is a place to call upon Vivane. Rumor has it though that since he was not present for the battle, he will never return there even when called.

When Atheron destroyed itself in the Beginning, this also had an effect on all demi-gods. These beings were also destroyed – this included Sun and Moon. However, if Sun and Moon perished then there would be no rebirth for Atheron. So Wuthere and all other elemental gods intervened on their behalf. There would be no way to save them individually and so Wuthere saw them joined. It was not an easy joining and hastily done to save life as we know it. The pain for Sun and Moon was excruciating. At the end of it all, they became Solun and are the god we know today.
It is said there is a way to break them apart once more. Doing so would plunge Atheron into darkness and life would end. The method of Solun’s destruction is unknown. Some say there is a piece of Lunar’s moonstone deep in the bunnies’ underground city. It is said this moonstone shines as brightly as the sun, resembling the union Solun represents. When this stone is destroyed – so is Solun. Should this come to pass, not even Wuthere can save Atheron or at least… not alone. Only those who share in Solun’s power would have the ability to see their restoration. We can only hope this will never come to pass…
